With the iOS app, Edthena users can now upload videos directly from their mobile device straight to the Edthena platform.
The app makes it possible for teachers to upload their video even before their class period is finished!
Edthena has long offered a desktop video tool to aid the process of video compression and video upload. The mobile app, which was in development for nearly six months, will make the process even easier by automatically uploading the video immediately after the recording stops.
“A key aspect of any video coaching process is a reliable and easy way to get videos online,” said Edthena founder and CEO Adam Geller. “Our mobile app provides an option for an on-the-go upload that remains reliable and easy to use.”
Diane Lauer, executive director of professional development in St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado, an Edthena partner, believes the addition of an iOS app was the next logical step in Edthena’s evolution.
“We are a 1:1 district, so having our teachers use their iPad minis really will change the pace of the observation and the feedback process which, in turn, will accelerate the enhancements teachers can implement to improve their craft,” said Lauer.
